Welcome to our beautiful home, here at Dawn Care. With just 18 rooms, our staff really get to know our residents, and vice versa. We know there is no one-size-fits-all solution for providing care. Every single person here receives individualised care, suited to their needs, and adjusted whenever those needs change.
We are happy to welcome residents of whatever age – our oldest to date is 105 – and can provide appropriate care for those in generally good health, and with dementia.
Every resident is a unique individual, and we make a point of getting to know everyone. Their history, their personality, their likes and dislikes, not just their care plan. Of course, we do monitor and review their medication, diagnoses, physical limitations, and more, but it’s not the key feature of any person here.
We offer respite care, including overnight stays and day visits, for people in the local area. This gives enrichment and companionship to those who visit us, and helps provide a break for carers.
We have recently introduced a digital care monitoring system, to track all staff interactions with residents - medication, meals, activities, health issues and more. Ask us about how this works, and the immense benefits for residents, family members, and our dedicated team.
Any family home reflects the residents, and Dawn Care is no different. We have activities and facilities to meet the interests of those here, and at the moment, that’s jigsaw puzzles, visiting musicians, and books, mostly. We’re quite prepared to change things, as new residents with different interests join us.
